American Film Institute Festival 2012 today announced the high-profile films that make up its Centerpiece Galas and Special Screenings lineups. The Centerpiece Galas are: Ang Lee's first foray into 3D "Life of Pi"; "On the Road," from Walter Salles; the animated film "Rise of the Guardians"; and Jacques Audiard's Marion Cotillard-starring drama "Rust and Bone."
ON THE ROAD: Jack Kerouac’s seminal pseudo-autobiography arrives on the big screen at the intersection of fact and fiction. DIR Walter Salles. SCR Jose Rivera, Jack Kerouac. CAST Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, Danny Morgan, Alice Bragga, Elisabeth Moss, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortenson. France/UK/USA/Brazil.
