Universal Aims for 2015 Release for SWATH Sequel

Universal chairman, Adam Fogelson, announced at Cinemacon that the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel is aiming for a 2015 release year. Back in December, Kristen confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Snow White in the sequel.
Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson hosted the studio’s presentation at CinemaCon, and he revealed that they are currently aiming to release the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman in 2015.  After the fallout from the behind-the-scenes drama on the first film and a sizeable yet unremarkable box office (at least for a film budgeted at just under $200 million) for the Rupert Sanders-directed fantasy pic, movement on the SWATH sequel has been fairly slow.  Star Kristen Stewart confirmed that she would be returning for the follow-up in December, and Fogelson affirmed just last month that Sanders would not be returning to direct. With a possible 2015 release date looming, we should expect to hear news about a writer, director, and/or returning cast for Snow White and the Huntsman 2 soon.

Johnny Harris Talks About Kristen

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FpgP_tQCbcc/UImsNmppJPI/AAAAAAAAIJ4/vjtBJArtE2g/s1600/johnny_headshot_-_bw.jpgIt must have been a privilege to be part of a dwarf gang alongside Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane...

I said to Ray one day on set that if it wasn’t for the likes of him and Bob Hoskins it wouldn’t have been possible for me to enter the profession. But Ray said it was exactly the same for him, and he went back to people like Michael Caine, even further to Charlie Chaplin. With these guys I can quote lines from their films so to be standing next to them and performing was kind of dreamlike. Going home after work and explaining what had happened that day was like explaining a weird dream. Ray Winstone was there… Bob Hoskins was there… We were in a forest - but we were all dwarves, and Kristen Stewart was crying… It was surreal.

And how is Kristen Stewart to work with?

For such a young lady to be steering the size of ship she was, she’s amazing. She just got her sleeves rolled up and stuck in. She’s very diligent, very inclusive. We were a real unit. We formed a real bond.

Chris Hemsworth Mentions Kristen

How was your on-set relationship with Kristen Stewart while making Snow White & The Huntsman?

It was great, besides when she punched me in the face. That’s a true story. It was pretty painful; that was a big punch. No, it was fantastic. She had a really strong attitude about where her character should go, which is good. You don’t want someone who sits on the fence.

Johnny Harris talks about working with Kristen on Snow White

Prior to being in Snow White I never got so much as a second glance from them but as soon as I was in a film with Kristen Stewart, all of a sudden I was getting calls. I got married last week and all my cousins are around the 12-13 mark and you could see how I’ve changed in their eyes. Now, all of a sudden they’re asking me about my work and asking if I can get Kristen’s autograph!

Q. You’ve mentioned how helpful Kristen was on the set, even appearing in scenes with you when she wasn’t required?

Yeah, the scene in particular was the funeral scene when I had to sing. And it only got confirmed on the morning that I’d be singing on my own because of the technicality of getting us all to do it. In moments like that, when the camera is focused on you, you tend to find other actors disappear but they remained standing in. It kind of tells you a lot about the feeling in general on the set. So, when I looked around Kristen was there, and Chris [Hemsworth], and Ray and Bob were stood either side of me. I’ll never forget that moment. It was an emotional moment in the film, we were all crying a bit, and when I looked up Kristen was also crying and the camera was not even on her. So, I was tremendously grateful to her for that.
