Director Drake Doremus Eyes Kristen and Nicholas Hoult For "Equals"

Deadline: Drake Doremus is casting up his next film Equals for an early 2014 start, and I hear he is courting Twilight Saga‘s Kristen Stewart and Warm Bodies and X-Men: Days Of Future Past star Nicholas Hoult to be the young couple that anchors this science fiction tale.

Doremus talked up the project while doing press for Breathe In, the most recent film he helmed that stars his Like Crazy heroine Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan. Indian Paintbrush, Steven Rales’ production/financing company which forged a relationship with Doremus on Like Crazy, is backing the film. Stewart is repped by Gersh and Hoult by UTA and 42.

New Breaking Dawn Picture on French Box Set

Romain Gavras Talks about Working with Rob

In the first image he (British actor Robert Pattinson, the former vampire Edward in the Twilight saga) is a skyscraper above. In the second frame, he is with her (the model Camille Rowe) in the bathroom. Then, snapshots, all black and white, flashbacks of a party, the race in the car on the beach, dip in the pool. No matter the place: it could be New York or Paris, the first day of spring or the last year. The close-ups capture the energy of youth, the momentum of the attraction, passion. Strong emotions that stop time of the film: he, the ideal man, sexy and charismatic. And his ally, Dior Homme, a fragrance that, as stated by François Demachy, Dior Parfumeur et Createur, defies all the clichés of masculinity: " Explore a new virility , immediate and yet complex." Unique and singular, as the film by Romain Gavras, son of art director Costa. We asked him to tell us about the film by Dior Homme.

Where did the you get the inspiration for the video?

Working closely with the Dior team. Hundred lifetimes in a day and the words of James Dean "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you were to die today." The result is a character who goes through emotions and different places. Then, with the cinematographer André Chemetoff and production designer Jean -Michel Bertin, we looked for the best visual grammar to tell this story fragmented.

How would you describe the Dior Homme man?

The man who is a man we want to represent light, at ease in any situation. It could be on a deserted beach , in a luxury hotel or in an empty house in which he has just moved in: it would always be himself. We wanted to move away from the stereotype of the successful, rich and arrogant , and that is why we have added details such as the car eighties that leads to a certain point. The woman is another great way to characterize a man: that the video is a simple girl, who dressed in a showy.

He talks about a particular story happened on the set.

We shot in Brooklyn, Rockaway Beach, immediately after the hurricane. Looking at the scene of the beach, you can note their signs, for example, the very high sand or cabins destroyed , which makes the image looked strange, unexpected, in a video for a luxury perfume. Oh, and we also ended up in the sea with the car ... It took two boats and a tractor to bring it in!

 The main difficulty?

Probably the fact of having to take in so many places at once. We had to run all over New York with Rob, who is a big star in Hollywood, dodging paparazzi and all the rest, not to reveal the images of the campaign prior to submission. Also, before you know Rob had no idea how it would go because we were waiting hectic, very active, and sometimes the actors do not like working under pressure. But he was great, he gave more than he was asked for, was with me one hundred percent. In addition, during the shoot, we had great fun.

What is your favorite scene?

I really like the part on the beach, it was the first scene we shot. During the first shot is always something interesting happening at that moment if you know what you had in mind will work or not. It was very nice to hear that it would work.

How was working with Rob?

Rob is an extremely curious, is leaving the phase of the "poster boy" of Twilight to play more mature roles . Is already making interesting choices and courageous. Speaking as a director, I can say that he is an actor with which it is very easy to work, able to give so much.

New 'Live at The Foxes Den' Poster & Release Date

Live at The Foxes Den FB: The Official Movie Poster for Live At The Foxes Den! Coming to theaters December 6th, 2013!

Rumor: Rob Starring In Short Film Directed by Zach Hill: 'Misoneism'

Birds by the Death Grops that will be in Misoneism’s OST

Death Grips have been in the news lately for canceling dates and not showing up to scheduled concerts, but they’ve been productive during their time off. Today, they sent out a press release (sent “exclusively to 10 smaller websites”) to let people know what they’ve been up to, and in addition to starting a record label, they’ll be releasing books, artwork, and a film. The film is about underground prostitution, and in line with what Death Grips has been doing since day one, it sets out to shed light “in a shocking and abrasive way.” Read the full message below:

This is a message from DEATH GRIPS.

We have recently founded a record label, created via a very unique relationship with Harvest/Capitol, to be distributed by Caroline. On here, we anticipate our creative endeavours being achieved with unaltered possibilities. Not only does it function as a medium to distribute any upcoming music we create, but it will also be used as a platform to showcase other forms of art. Stefan Burnett, our vocalist, will soon be releasing a very limited number of hardback books for his visual artwork, with the help of PictureBox. Not only that, but Zach Hill is currently wrapping up a short film he directed with an OST by DEATH GRIPS. The film is entitled Misoneism, is shot entirely in monochrome film, and follows the exploits of a young man forced into the underground prostitution business in Brazil. Starring Robert Pattinson and Colin Hanks, the film hopes to shed light on the matter in a shocking and abrasive way. The film is slated for a Spring 2014 release with a one time only screening at Sacramento’s historic Guild Theater. Further details on Misoneism will be released in the coming weeks through our Tumblr (now wiped clean and specifically dedicated to Misoneism.) A 2 minute trailer is to be released on the aforementioned link very soon.

Birds, released on 21st of August, can now be officially announced as a cut from Misoneism’s OST. The track was received extremely well.

This message has been sent to exclusively 10 smaller websites to accentuate the minimal approach we are going to approach the promotion of Misoneism. The film was conceived with the ethos of Sacramento’s 70′s independent films, most of which were fairly low budget and gained, at best, modest popularity. In a sense, the promotion is a social experiment. We purposefully employed very high profile actors to star in an experimental, avant-garde film, promoted only on smaller indie music websites and publications for reasons that we will reveal in the upcoming press kit.

m0re to come.

Catherine Hardwicke Talks about Casting Kristen and Rob

You've said that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were perfect for their roles. What did you see in them that made you cast them?

I thought Kristen was just amazing in Into the Wild. When I read the novel Twilight, I kept picturing her in that scene, where she’s sitting in the trailer, hoping to seduce Emile Hirsch. Her yearning was palpable, real, and intense. I thought, "This girl would be wonderful." So Summit flew me out to Pittsburgh, where she was shooting Adventureland. We took an actor with us and improvised a lot of scenes. To find Edward was tricky, because how he was written, he was perfect, with these cheekbones, and he was also wise beyond his years. We whittled it down from hundreds of actors to four. I'd only talked to Rob on the phone when he was much younger. He flew out on his own dime and stayed on his agent's couch. The four actors came over to my house and we workshopped all the "chemistry" scenes. With Rob and Kristen, it was apparent that those two just connected and had a magnetism for each other that was electric, right there on the spot.

Maria Mesa Talks About Working with Jackson on The Dead Men + New Picture

Up-and-coming actress Maria Mesa has just finished the biggest role of her young career – filming the lead in the thriller The Dead Men. The 20-year-old stars opposite Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone and Rock Of Ages star Diego Boneto in the film that was shot on location in Columbia.

Maria talked exclusively with Celebrity Teen Scoop about her new movie, the bond she formed with costars Jackson and Diego and her feelings about filming in Columbia – her hometown.

Celebrity Teen Scoop: Tell us about your experience making The Dead Men.
Maria: Making The Dead Men was an incredible experience. Not only was it my first leading role but it was shot in Colombia, where I am from. I had the privilege of working with a great crew. They were always willing to help and brought positive energy to the set so we could have a great movie as a result.

CTS: How would you describe your character?
Maria: Melody is a tough girl, really smart. She knows what she wants in life but she has fear about what her family would think about her. She’s a lovable girl but won’t express it too much because she doesn’t want to get hurt. Melody loves to be out with friends, party and have a great time. She’s living life but with a goal and purpose, not in excess.

CTS: What was it like working with Jackson and Diego?
Maria: Jackson and Diego were a big inspiration for me. I never thought I’d be working with actors of their caliber in such a short time so I was a little anxious. But getting to know them and being around them every day while doing the movie made me more confident. They are so talented and such nice people. I learned a million things about them, as actors and as people.

Every time there was tension on set or something went wrong, Jackson would surprise us all with a joke or with a weird movement. Even when shooting, he would finish the scene or his line with something random and, believe it or not, it would work in the scene. It always made us all laugh. Sometimes, before or after filming, the crew would get together and start singing songs. Jackson, who is also a talented musician, would play his guitar and the rest of us would sing along. There was always a time or a moment to play, enjoy and have a great time on set.

CTS: What did the three of you do for fun during down time or on days off in Colombia?
Maria: In our free time we would go out to restaurants, spend time with the crew away from set, or just go around the city. Medellin is a beautiful area with enjoyable places.

CTS: Any other fun facts that fans would be interested in know about the film?
Maria: The Dead Men is a very interesting script that has nothing to do with what everyone thinks about Colombia. It is full of suspense, fun and love – a perfect and different teenage story.

New Interview & Photos: Kellan Talks about Abbot + Main

image host image host image host

Kind and hardworking, two traits that aren't common among the Hollywood crowd, with the exception to a few, including an individual I caught up with recently. KELLAN LUTZ, Model-turned-Actor-turned-Designer, recently invited me to check out + chat about  his new Abbot + Main Spring/Summer '14 collection. Some of you might already know him as Emmet Cullen from The Twilight Saga, and will soon see Lutz on the big screen as both Tarzan & Hercules, which makes complete sense since one of Kellan's arms is equivalent to my entire body.

Abbot + Main, co-founded by Kellan Lutz and Danny Guez, evolved from a company that started off with zip up hoodies to pullovers, to now a more lifestyle brand that consists of tees, henleys, sweatpants and much more. The brand focuses on three important aspects: comfort, quality and fit, the same three things every consumer is seeking for. Abbot + Main offers the most comfortable fabrics, 5 for women and 4 for men, that are inspired from all over the world. It's difficult to explain how comfortable, soft and impeccable the fabrics used actually are without having the person test-drive it themselves.  Unlike many celebrity's that have clothing lines, Kellan contributes invests an immense amount of time and heart into the collection. You can snag some Abbot + Main  swag from mega department stores like Bloomindales and Nordstrom. Plus, you can find more info right over here.

TMM: How did the idea of starting a clothing brand come into play?
KL: For me, when we started this, it was all about comfort. That to me is key. You want to be comfortable in what you are wearing so you don't have to think about what you are wearing. And as an actor doing the red carpet I would wear stuff like tight pants that just wasn't me, and I would be thinking about it and I couldn't express what I needed to express.

TMM: These fabrics are superb. Where did you find them?
KL: I pulled a lot of them from my closet. And also I was traveling the world doing these movies so I found some great stuff from Bulgaria, Indonesia and Munich and brought them home with me.

TMM: How did you come up with the name ABBOT + MAIN?
KL: I'm from North Dakota and Arizona. When I moved to Venice, I lived right here ( pointing at Abbot Kinny BLVD + Main Street) I fell in love with Venice, fell in love with the lifestyle, the people, bars, the fashion, coffee shops, everything. It had its own personality and being in Hollywood, you know everything is Hollywood, so to find this little place that's not like it, it was an escape-- I was so happy. Seeing people riding their bikes, I was addicted because I've never really experienced anything like it. So, when I started this collaboration, every name I came up with was weird. Then I loved Abbot & Main and I couldn't think of a more appropriate name. That is also why our symbol is crossroads.

TMM: The collection is super vibrant and exciting, where did you draw the inspiration from?
KL: It's Lifestyle, Luxury, Classic-- being in Venice you can go through Abbot Kinny wearing a tee by Abbot + Main and get a coffee. And when you go to the beach the temperature drops quite easily and you can throw on Abbot + Main pullover or hoodie, so everything is complimentary with one another. Plus, All the clothing breathes really well. The colors-- like I'm a huge fan [of all the brands doing the similar thing], but all these earthy colors, I felt like no one is taking a risk and no one was going back to, you know, brightness. For me, I fell in love with Venice and it was just this new life to me and everyone is happy, there's this whole new life there which reminded of taste the rainbow Skittles, so bringing color back out it makes you smile, and you feel good.

TMM: Ok...Lastly, you must have a few favorite designers. Drop them.
KL: Tommy is great. I love Ferragamo (pointing out my vibrant Salvatore Ferragamo sneakers, which I should add had zero logo or signage present)
